Hands-On Education –
In the fields of design and technology, students can learn by doing. At IADT, students can use the techniques and tools of professionals in their desired career field, from fashion and interior design to game design and computer graphics. Academy students have the opportunity to graduate with knowledge and skills that are in demand in the industry and are educated using industry current hardware and software.
Curriculum –
The International Academy of Design & Technology curriculum places a heavy emphasis on the courses most relevant to the industry, and students begin taking these core classes during their first term. Advisory Boards consisting of industry professionals assist in shaping the curriculum to meet current industry needs necessary for career development. The curriculum is continually revised to meet the needs of today’s global marketplace.
Experienced Professionals –
Courses are led by instructors with real-world experience in their fields. They can give students the inside knowledge needed to be successful in the fields of visual communication, technology, design, merchandising and marketing. The instructors supplement textbook knowledge with real life experiences.
Industry-Current Equipment & Labs –
The Academy takes a ”hands on“ learning approach by teaching with industry current equipment and labs. Most of the equipment and labs meet industry standards in order to prepare students for careers upon graduation. Our modern facilities can provide you with the current technology and design tools that are necessary to help prepare you for your career.
Tuition Planning Assistance –
Financial Aid Representatives will help you explore all the options available to you. Tuition planning assistance is available to all students. Financial aid is available for those who qualify. These resources can help make your education affordable and manageable. In addition, the Academy offers over $100,000 annually in tuition scholarship awards to encourage the pursuit of higher education. Applicants must submit a separate application form for each scholarship for which they wish to apply.
Career Services Assistance –
Our full-time career services staff is dedicated to assisting current students with part-time employment opportunities and career development opportunities in fields such as fashion, interior design, visual communication, marketing & advertising and game design. Our staff offers help with interviewing skills, job search assistance, career guidance, and resume preparation while they're enrolled at IADT. Upon graduation the Career Services department will continue to provide these services to alumni. We work with local businesses and a nationwide network to locate employment opportunities.
Convenient Schedules –
Our career focused programs allow students at IADT to graduate in less time than most traditional colleges, allowing them the opportunity to move into the workforce and start their careers sooner. Depending on the program, students can choose from day or evening classes, allowing them to work around their busy lifestyles while pursuing their degree. Our career focused programs allow students at IADT to graduate with an Associate’s degree in as few as 18-months or a Bachelor’s degree in as little as 36-months.

The International Academy of Design & Technology takes pride in knowing students by name, offering manageable class sizes, and providing focused attention to students both in and out of the classroom.
