IADT-San Antonio's Catwalk for Hope Fashion and Art Show
October 22, 2011
IADT-San Antonio instructors Sandy Pastrano and Janie Morales and student Isabel Lotti organized the upcoming Catwalk for Hope fashion show to raise awareness to breast cancer, leukemia, and lymphoma.
Models will include survivors of cancer, family members of survivors, and advocates for cancer. The designers will address the issues that survivors might face when it comes to fashion.
In addition to the fabulous clothing that will be presented, Graphic Design students from IADT also will showcase art inspired by cancer awareness. Guests of Catwalk for Hope will have the opportunity to show their generosity by bidding on some of the garments and graphic art through a silent auction benefiting breast cancer research and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
The cocktail reception and art show will begin 6 p.m., followed by the fashion show at 7:30. The guest speaker is Fox 29 news anchor Karen Martinez.
Time: 6 p.m.
Date: Oct. 22
Place: The Ray Ellison Auditorium, 3625 Paesanos Parkway, San Antonio
