Alice in Wonderland Inspires Local Fashion Showcase

July 12, 2010

SAN ANTONIO (July 12, 2010) – Don’t be late, don’t be late for a very important date. The International Academy of Design and Technology (IADT) San Antonio’s Stitch Fashion Club is set to present the Alice in Wonderland Runway Show on Friday, July 16, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. The runway show will be filled with entertainment, as each of the unique designs by IADT-San Antonio students will be themed after the recently released remake of the classic movie, "Alice in Wonderland."

The show will take place at the upscale Palomino Apartment Homes (14111 Vance Jackson Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78249), with partners including Madhatter’s Tea House & Café, Toni & Guy Salon and JDJP Designs. A cocktail hour will be held at 7:00 p.m., just prior to the runway show.

"After the March release of 'Alice in Wonderland,' the idea came into full force for a fashion show themed after the modern version of the classic childhood movie," said IADT-San Antonio President Brian Silver. "Because of this imaginative inspiration, the styles that will be showcased by our students on Friday evening are sure to be artistically chic."

Tickets are $20 presale and can be purchased by calling 210.530.9449. Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $25.
