Academy - Sacramento Hosts an Enchhanted Evening with Internationally Celebrated Fashion Designers Cesar Galindo and Traver Rains (of Heatherette)

Charity event benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California while exhibiting fashion and photography treasures from the designers’ collections; Ambreal Williams from "America’s Next Top Model" co-hosts with IADT
Sacramento, CA. (Dec. 3, 2009) - The International Academy of Design & Technology-Sacramento (the Academy) along with Ambreal Williams of “America’s Next Top Model” (cycle 9) will host a special engagement exhibiting the work and creativity of two internationally known fashion designers, Cesar Galindo and Traver Rains, on Thursday, Dec.17, 2009 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Academy’s Natomas campus location. The event is a benefit for Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California (RMHC), a local charity dedicated to serving children and their families during difficult times.
This one night affair will showcase Cesar Galindo’s many influences on fashion. A native of Houston, Texas, he began his career on Seventh Avenue in the mid-1980’s and went on to design his own signature label sold in high-end boutiques and department stores. Mr. Galindo has also designed for the Calvin Klein Women’s Collection, Dolce & Gabanna and Levi Strauss & Co. His clients include recording artists and television and film personalities around the world.
The evening also presents the work of Traver Rains of the popular, global fashion brand Heatherette. A highly skilled photographer in his own right, Mr. Rains will also show an exciting photo exhibition for media and guests. His fashion fans include Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Steven Tyler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Britney Spears. The community is invited to attend this special, charity event to personally meet the designers and see their exceptional work:
