IADT-Detroit Announces New Web Design and Development Degree Programs

Detroit, MI (IADT) May 31, 2011 – The new Web Design and Development degree programs at IADT-Detroit can help students learn skills in diverse areas from designing websites and other interactive media projects to programming and content management systems. The programs combine general education courses with key concentration classes to offer well-rounded instruction in graphics, text, audio, video and interactivity for the Web.
Students who study Web Design and Development at IADT-Detroit have the unique opportunity to expand their creativity while developing a strong working knowledge of electronic technology. These programs feature hands-on learning opportunities in a supportive educational environment.
The Associate of Science in Web Design and Development degree program at IADT-Detroit features instruction in usability, interface design, scripting, open source systems, digital imaging and more. Its goal is to help students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to create functional, attractive and effective websites. Through the use of industry-current techniques and tools, students have the opportunity to expand their technical knowledge and explore the possibilities of website advertising and design.
The Bachelor of Science in Web Design and Development program at IADT-Detroit builds on the associate’s degree program to help students develop knowledge in digital imaging, usability, interface design, open source systems, website advertising and more. The program combines conventional classroom learning with hands-on electronic training to provide a well-rounded educational experience. Students have the opportunity to explore how graphics, text, audio, video and interactivity function on the Web. Graduates of this bachelor-level program can move toward potential opportunities in the Web design and development field.
