International Academy of Design & Technology Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary

School to host anniversary party showcasing students' talent and graduates' successes

Troy, Mich. – On Friday, October 17th, the International Academy of Design & Technology (the Academy) will open its doors to the public for its five-year anniversary celebration. Festivities begin at 4pm, continuing until 8pm.

Guests can enjoy complimentary refreshments while they tour classrooms, labs, and the new green-screen room. Student projects will be displayed throughout the building, and graduates will return to share their successes with attendees.

"We're really excited about the celebration. We've come a long way in 5 years," said the campus president, Cynthia Bechill, SPHR. "We want the surrounding community and industry professionals to come and see all the amazing things our students are capable of doing."

The International Academy of Design & Technology was originally founded in Chicago in 1977. The Troy campus was established in 2003 to help Michigan students develop their skills and abilities needed for success in the fields of design and technology. The career-oriented degree programs provide hands-on training and real-world insights, taught by industry professionals who work in the fields in which they teach. The Academy in Troy currently offers programs in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Game Production, Fashion Design, and Digital Media.
