Shannon Donahue-Musfelt, fashion design student, Student Activities Coordinator and president of the ChiC Fashion Club, shares this dispatch from IADT-Tampa:
The International Academy of Design & Technology-Tampa joined Liz Claiborne, Inc. (NYC) and Project Runway host Tim Gunn to put on a fantastic fashion show this past Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Grand Court at International Plaza.
A combined team of IADT-Tampa alumni and current students was nominated by faculty and staff to work on this project together. The volunteers included:
Lead Dresser: Jenna Kocic
Backstage/Model Dressers: Sandra Hagen, Denetria George, Taryn Jerez, Jordynn Haskins, Andrea Omboni, and Paige Milam
VIP Registration Host Lead: Fulei Ngangmuta
VIP Hosts: John Bennett, Ashley Gardner, and Amanda Smith
Tim Gunn Photo Assistant: Shannon Musfelt
Hundreds of spectators looked on as Mr. Gunn gave a preview of Spring 2012 looks from Lucky Brand, Juicy Couture, and Kate Spade. After the fashion show, he answered questions from the audience, ranging from fashion advice to his insight into Project Runway.
At the conclusion of the Q&A session, a VIP party was held where participants could speak one-on-one with Mr. Gunn and get a picture taken with him.
Special thanks to Joe Wynn, Fashion Department Career Services Advisor, for putting the volunteer team together and coordinating schedules for a very organized and noteworthy event.
To the IADT-Tampa alumni and current students who volunteered their time, energy and passion -- thank you! You all represented IADT–Tampa proudly while doing an amazing job!
