IADT-Seattle Students Network, Find Opportunities at Career Day

IADT-Seattle’s 3rd Annual Career Day was a huge success! About 75 students and alumni had the opportunity to speak with 19 representatives from the following companies:
- Prep Sports Wear
- Staged By Design
- ReignLabs
- BCBGMAXAZRIAGROUP
- Olympus Press
- Aquent
- The Creative Group
- Atiz Fashion House by Swati Padmaraj
- Neiman Marcus
- Thomasville - Southcenter
- Creative Circle
- Farinaz Taghavi
All the companies that participated are currently hiring and seeking employees with skills in interior design/sales consultants, staging, sales, fashion merchandising, sewing, Web design, graphic design, UX design, 3D art, production, and much more. Several were also seeking interns. The employers indicated in their post-event survey that they will be scheduling as many as 50 interviews with students.
Christeen Pucci, 3D Artist Recruiter for Aquent, took the time to go into one of our Game Production classes to give the students more information about her company and what they are seeking and to talk with them about what they are working on and find out what the latest games they are playing.
Ryan Hocker, a Graphic Design student slated to graduate in December, emailed me after the event saying, "hanks for setting today up and encouraging me to come. I met a lot of contacts and learned a lot more information about what's out there. Thank you!"
