Students in IADT-Sacramento’s Fashion Design and Merchandising program recently had a unique opportunity -- to learn valuable career lessons from someone who’s risen to the top of one of the retail fashion industry’s biggest name brands: Linda Heasley, president and CEO of The Limited.
Heasley met with the students when she visited the IADT campus for a speaking engagement on Friday, March 23, during which she shared her leadership style and offered tips for success in the working world, as well as a background on the retail industry and The Limited’s evolution.
Heasley is credited with overhauling the brand’s image to turn a profit after a 17-year decline. She was in town to officially kick off the company’s growing presence in California. Earlier in the day, she led a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate The Limited’s grand opening at Westfield Galleria at Roseville, marking the first stop of the company’s statewide expansion.

The Limited CEO Linda Heasley meets with IADT-Sacramento Fashion Design & Merchandising students during a recent visit to the campus.
