IADT–Sacramento announces New Web Design and Development and Retail Merchandise Management Degree Programs

Sacramento, Calif. (April 25, 2013) – The International Academy of Design and Technology –IADT – Sacramento added two new associate and bachelor degree programs to its curriculum in 2013; Bachelor of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees in web design and development and retail merchandise management.
“Our role is to help our students gain as much skills as possible and advance within their respective industries, “said Patricia Hoffman, campus president of IADT – Sacramento. “They need opportunities that coincide with what’s happening in our local market. We’ll be able to benefit the creative and technology industries on a larger scale and develop meaningful, region-wide connections for our students. Our goal is to help them be as competitive as possible while learning new and exciting techniques.”
The web design and development program focuses on helping students learn skills in diverse areas, from designing websites and other interactive media projects to programming and using content management systems.
The retail merchandise management program is a dynamic business arena that requires an in-depth understanding of direct sales operations, buying strategies, merchandise procurement, and sales supply chains. In order to be successful in the field, you need to develop strong management and communication skills as well as leadership capabilities.
