Next weekend, July 28-29, IADT-Detroit is taking part in the Henry Ford Maker Faire, a two-day, interactive event at the Henry Ford Museum that celebrates creativity and innovation.
Five of our programs - plus well as our National Library Week contest entries from this past April - will have featured displays:
Recycled & Reinvented Contest – From National Library Week, this will show off some of the great work that was created for this past April’s student contest.
Fashion in Detroit with Joe Faris of Project Runway Season Five – From the Fashion Design department, this display will present cool fashions constructed from recycled auto show banners.
Design History Poster – From the Graphic Design department, this will showcase a design period, designer, or group, and contain an editorial piece about the subject.
Digital Illustration – From the Digital Media department, this will show off creative images made in Adobe Illustrator.
Harbour Park – From the Interior Design department, this display will be of a waterfront residential development and sustainable community.
Making the Game – From the Game Production department, this will highlight video game production.
