The future is NOW.
We are excited to announced that we have recreated ARTISTIK magazine under a new name: IADTX Magazine.
The new publication has been reimagined and redesigned in a technology-driven format that will extend the readers’ experience far beyond the boundaries of print. IADTX boasts an exciting focus on the intersection of Design and Technology and will include all the bells and whistles of ARTISTIK, plus brand-new content for students, alumni and working design and technology professionals.
This magazine is so much more than an ordinary print publication. To bridge the gap between the print and digital world, we have embraced innovation and created an interactive magazine that utilizes augmented reality, allowing users to not just read the magazine but experience it in a fully immersive way via the Aurasma app.*
Once you download the app, look for the Aurasma icon as you read the magazine and scan the page using your iOS or Android device to watch it come to life. You’ll experience extended content such as:
- Product reviews
- External Web links
- Interactive portfolio work
- An amazing digital fly-through of the creation of the cover.
Here's how it works: When the app launches, tap the chevron at the bottom of the screen and search for the Winter 2013 channel by typing “IADTX” in the search field. “Follow” our channel, return to the scan screen and Aurasma will now act as your window to the extended content we have created throughout the issue.
We’ve also added a few “Easter eggs” along the way, so be on the lookout for hidden content within unmarked images as well.
Our goal in this venture was to redefine the concept of print publication and give our readers a virtual experience like they have never seen before. This new addition will most definitely help to redefine the IADT schools and creative communities and is only the first chapter in this exciting new venture.
The new issue has been shipped to our campus locations and will be landing in the next week. Meanwhile, we invite you to visit our new Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages to stay connected.
Many new and exciting things are on the horizon for IADTX, including a newly designed iPad application, website (http://www.iadtxmagazine.com/) and something really special – and really big – that we’ll be announcing soon.
So stay tuned and in the meantime, get connected with us so you can be a part of the future of IADTX Magazine.
All the best,
Editor-in-Chief, IADTX Magazine
