Eight students from IADT-Tampa's fashion design program recently participated in a most unique event - the exclusive, inaugural Chocolate Couture fashion show at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
Working in collaboration with Aileen Mand, producer of the Festival of Chocolate, the students conceptualized and constructed imaginative, fanciful garments using at least 50% chocolate wrappers.
The Best of Show award went to student Andrea Omboni, who actually made the “Reese's Pieces” on the straps of her design from fired clay pieces, painting each one to resemble the colorful candies.
Congratulations to all those who participated! Your creativity is inspiring!
