Yes, he lives there in his magical kingdom ... the place where dreams come true. Have you ever thought about the Orlando fashion scene? If you would like to become a fashion designer, Orlando could be the place where your career aspirations become a reality.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that there are about 150 fashion designers working in the Orlando-Kissimmee area. The average hourly wage was $27.86 and the average salary was $57,570*. Overall, the Bureau estimates that competition for jobs in the industry is expected to be keen as many designers are attracted to the creativity and glamour associated with the occupation**. On the flipside, there seems to be a number of opportunities in retail. There are 39,520 retail professionals in the Orlando-Kissimmee area***. That could mean more opportunities for you to get your foot in the door.

Orlando also plays host to major fashion events that could help you get your designs in the spotlight. One is the Mall at Millenia's Fashion Week.
