Today’s post: Keeping Up with CSS:

Everyone now uses CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) when creating their websites. Did you know that just like HTML, CSS has gone through many updates?  How do you keep up with all the changes, you might ask …

To stay abreast of changes in the industry, you need to keep up with new trends and ideas. You should always be reading articles and tutorials online to discover what’s changing with everything that you’ve already learned. Just like Adobe keeps releasing new versions of its Creative Suite, programming languages also go through routine changes. Read up on CSS 3 at www.css3.info! There are a few new functions and features to get excited about.

Have you ever checked out www.cssZenGarden.com?  Zen Garden was created for graphic artists to learn more about CSS. The website shares its own HTML code and asks others to modify the CSS code to make a completely new and unique design that they can then submit for others to view. The site shares a bunch of designs created by artists that showcase the power of CSS.

There are also resource guides and tutorials that teach everything from the basics to the advanced CSS on this site. Give it a try for yourself. It’s fun to do and very informative! Leading web developers have used this site to expand their knowledge of CSS - you should too!
