Seattle, Washington, September 18th, 2008 – Student programs at The International Academy of Design & Technology—Seattle will benefit from the MASQUERADE Fashion Show. The MASQUERADE Fashion Show, a Hip Trip Back in Fashion History, is an independent production directed and produced by Eduardo Khawam of K17 Productions. The event will be held at the Bellevue Arts Museum (www.bellevuearts.org) on Saturday, September 27th. The event will feature a Silent Auction and Reception starting at 6:00 pm and the Masquerade Fashion Show follows at 7:30 pm

The MASQUERADE fashion show is a romp through the past featuring the hippest fashions in Western history, including the Renaissance commedia dell'Arte, Baroque Venetian Carnevale, Victorian, Edwardian, the Old American South, Hollywood Timeless and much more... The evening includes audience participation to select which model wearing a historical costume will become SEATTLE'S NEXT SUPER MODEL.

Additional costumes that have been created by Academy students and ready-to-wear lines that have been created during the 2008 Caffe Couture Fashion Show will be displayed for viewing, and can be purchased during the silent auction. The proceeds from the auction will be used to fund special student programs in the Academy's Fashion Design department.

According to the event's promoter, Eduardo Khawam, "I remember when I was a student how difficult it was to come up with the extra funds needed to buy things that I needed for school projects. I want to create a fund that will help students to buy the little extras that they need to be successful."

Special performances are planned from: Soprano: Adana Protonentis, Pianist: Povilas Stravinsky and Cellist: Olga Dolgaya. Tickets are on sale now at www.Brownpapertickets.com. Ticket prices range from $35 to $75, with limited seating. Call for reservations 206-323-0090.
