IADT Set for Annual Exhibition of Graphic Art and Design

IADT logoSAN ANTONIO (October 17, 2011) – The International Academy of Design and Technology’s graduating graphic design students are set to showcase the fruits of their labor. IADT-San Antonio’s annual Graphic Design Portfolio Exhibition will take place on Saturday, October 29, from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at R Gallery (110 E. La Chapelle, 78204).

From 12:00 – 4:00 p.m., industry professionals will review student portfolios, followed by a special showcase and sale of portfolio pieces from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The display is free of charge and open to the public during for the latter half of the event. For students in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at IADT, this exhibition will serve as the culmination of their collegiate careers. Since entry into the program, students have created works of art and design to include in their respective portfolios.

“The exhibition provides our students with the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and talents to professionals and show the San Antonio public that they are ready to make an impact on the city and enhance the creative market with their unique abilities,” said IADT-San Antonio Campus Director Gilbert DeLeon.

Upon completion of their portfolio exhibition and capstone review, the students will prepare for graduation from the graphic design program at IADT.
