IADT-Sacramento Plans Fashion Shows for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

IADT-Sacramento fashion studentsSacramento, Calif. (April 20, 2012) – The International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) - Sacramento will have a fashion show of student-created Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Survivor T-shirt designs on May 5 and May 12. Jewelry designs made from recycled educational materials such as rubber bracelets and key chains also will be featured.

The public will be able to bid on all items at both shows, with proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation  to coincide with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

 “I am so very proud of our students and the work they produce,” said Kathy Kerr-Carpenter, program chair for Fashion Design and Merchandising at IADT-Sacramento. “They truly are the future of design. Their work inspires me, as well as their efforts to grow, learn and change their lives and the lives of others through education and service.”

The community is invited to attend the two special events below to personally meet the designers and see their exceptional work.
