Fashion, interior design and visual communication students display their work
Sacramento, Calif. (July 9, 2010) - The International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT) in Sacramento hosted a "Red Carpet Affair," a student produced showcase, on July 8, 2010. Talented students from IADT-Sacramento's various design programs completed complex, creative projects designed to inspire attendees. Projects were displayed in a gallery-like setting and visitors had the opportunity to interact with the students who provided project presentations and insight into their design philosophies during the event.
"As instructors, it brings us great pleasure to see our students applying the technical knowledge they’ve gained here at IADT," said Purwa Garg, fashion design instructor at IADT-Sacramento. "This showcase gives them an opportunity to shine as artists in their own right and will contribute to their professional design portfolios."
Also a great networking opportunity for employers and other creative professionals within the community, the showcase was designed to reveal the creative mission of the college and its impact on students, while unveiling the depth of thought behind each piece.
