Web Design and Development Degrees Added to IADT-Orlando Curriculum

IADT logoOrlando, FL (IADT) Aug. 17, 2011 – IADT-Orlando recently updated its curriculum to include two new Web Design and Development degree programs. Students can choose to pursue either an associate’s degree or a bachelor’s degree, whichever fits their educational and career goals. Both programs feature instruction in a variety of Web-based topics, including website design, programming and content management system operation.

Students who are interested in the industry can develop the knowledge and skills professionals use to design, develop and implement effective interactive projects. Training opportunities are available in a variety of areas, including graphics, design, programming, and multimedia.

Both of these Web Design and Development degree programs can help prepare students to pursue various career opportunities in this technology-based field. Classes offer a solid foundation in database management and website administration, as well as usability, interface design, open source systems and Internet commerce.

Students can also gain fundamental knowledge in topics such as search engine optimization, human-computer interaction and client-side scripting development. The goal is to provide motivated learners with a solid understanding of what it takes to design, maintain, manage and evaluate today’s websites.

Some of the Web Design and Development courses available through these two degree programs include Programming for the Internet, Multimedia Design, Content Management Systems, Open Source Systems, Media Design Concepts, Digital Imaging, Programming Concepts, Database and Dynamic Web Design, Advanced Scripting Techniques and Markup Languages.
