IADT-Detroit Adds Retail Merchandise Management Degree Programs

IADT logoDetroit (June 15, 2011) - The new associate’s and bachelor’s Retail Merchandise Management degree programs at IADT-Detroit allow students to gain a solid understanding of merchandising planning and management. They can also develop skills used in today’s retail operations industry and learn how to communicate with customers, manufacturers and buyers.

In these career-focused degree programs, students learn how to sell goods from manufacturers and retailers to businesses and individuals. They can discover how to evaluate buying trends and sales records, while also assessing merchandise price and quality. Retail Merchandise Management classes offer instruction in direct sales operations and procedures, including customer service, supply chain management, and merchandise procurement.

The Associate of Science in Retail Merchandise Management degree program offers a solid foundation in both retailing and merchandising principles. Through a variety of hands-on learning opportunities, students gain the skills necessary to buy and sell merchandise.
